It started before the product.

A group of childhood friends built one of the best retailer networks in Oregon through a company called LTRMN. Bulk flower. Dispensary relationships. Network first, product later.

Oregon's rec market was two years old and already a mess.

The simplest product in cannabis, a pre-rolled joint, was still a gamble. Burns even? Maybe. Stays lit? Hopefully. Same experience as the last one? Nobody could promise that.

STICKS could.

One gram. A hemp cone. Oregon flower. Nothing complicated. Just a pre-roll that showed up the same way every single time. That was the whole bet.

It paid off. They made them by the millions.

The machine kept moving.

STICKS scaled. LTRMN scaled. Production, retail, new markets, California. New product lines. The brand got bigger.

Then came the M&A. What had been locally owned and locally loved started to look like just another corporate cannabis company.

That wasn't the plan.

Going public was supposed to be the moment.

It wasn't. The company sold. The sale was supposed to make everyone whole.

It didn't.

The brand that regular Oregon smokers knew, bought, and trusted was now someone else's to run.

A few years later: the chance came.

Buy it back. Same brand. Same equity. Same pre-rolls. Pennies on the dollar.

No corporate structure this time. No public market. No calls from LA or SF.

Just the boys getting what was theirs back.

They took it.

The relaunch wasn't a rebrand. It was a correction.

Clear packaging. Honest product. Strain names that meant something to Oregon, not lifted from somewhere else. Bandon Gold instead of Acapulco Gold. Mt Hood Magic instead of a generic sativa. PDX Diesel instead of NYC Diesel. Cascade Crisp, named for a mountain range every Oregonian has driven through and looked at their whole life.

The message got simple again.

Good weed for normal people.

In one of the most competitive cannabis markets in the country, flooded with craft brands, legacy operators, and out-of-state money, the everyday pre-roll from Portland is on top.

That's not an accident.

It's a decade of distribution relationships, millions of pre-rolls made and learned from, a near-death experience with the public market, and a buyback most brands never get the chance to attempt.
